Teachers' House to be Built in Nurdağı and İslahiye Damaged in the Earthquake

GAZİANTEP (AA) - In Gaziantep, a protocol was signed by the Governor's Office and Erdemoğlu Holding to build a teacher's house in the districts of Nurdağı and İslahiye, which were affected by the earthquakes with Kahramanmaraş-epicenter.

In the statement made by the Governor's Office, Governor Davut Gül stated that the Erdemoğlu family made significant contributions to the development of both Turkey and Gaziantep, in his speech at the protocol ceremony held in the foyer of the Governor's Office.

Mentioning that the city, especially at Nurdağı and İslahiye districts, was adversely affected during the 6 February 2023 earthquakes, Gül said, "We need everything to bring life back to normal. The first and foremost among them is education. In particular, there was a need for teacher's houses in the districts of Islahiye and Nurdağı for the accommodation of our newly appointed teachers and the normalization and socialization of the city. The Erdemoğlu family said they wanted to help in this regard. I wish it brings benevolences."

Philanthropist Ali Erdemoğlu wished that the project would be beneficial for the country and İslahiye and Nurdağı districts.

After the speeches, a protocol was signed. A plaque of appreciation was presented to philanthropist Ali Erdemoğlu.

İslahiye District Governor Mustafa Anteplioğlu, Nurdağı District Governor Sinan Korkmaz, and National Education Provincial Director Yasin Tepe also attended the signing ceremony of the protocol.
